Members of the Onalaska Alliance are preparing to hold their annual fundraising banquet and auction on Saturday, Feb. 21, inside The Mason Jar Gathering Barn, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and dinner served at 6.

Dinner at this year’s banquet will be cooked by Bonanza BBQ and Catering — featuring both smoked brisket and chicken served with hearty sides of baked beans, mac and cheese, potato salad and coleslaw, with a choice of cornbread with honey butter or Hawaiian rolls.

In addition to smoked meats paired with beer and wine, silent and live auctions will be held during the banquet.

Tickets to the banquet are $40 per person, with proceeds from both the banquet and auctions funding the Alliance’s annual Apple Harvest Festival, maintenance and improvements at Carlisle Lake Park, backpack programs and supplemental food programs for Onalaska School District students and scholarships for Onalaska High School graduates.

To purchase tickets, visit the Onalaska Alliance’s website at https://tinyurl.com/2tedhn7p.

Live auction items include a guided fly fishing trip from the Lost Creek Fly Shop, overnight stays and VIP packages at Alderbrook Resort and Ilani Resort & Casino, handmade quilts stitched together by Mailee Lakey, four hours of landscaping service from Torgey’s Mulching & Development, and a handmade picnic table crafted by Onalaska High School shop class students.

Those attending the banquet will have the opportunity to purchase one of 15 golden tickets as well, at $100 each. One of those golden tickets will then be drawn, and the winner will have their choice of winning one of the live auction items without any additional cost or bidding.

Dozens of silent auction items will also be up for grabs, with silent auction items donated by Burnt Ridge Nursery & Orchard; 3 Dog Cider & Brewstillery; Murphy Tree Farm; Twin Star Credit Union; Blue Zones of Lewis County; LG Nature Photography; Ramblin’ Jacks Rib Eye; Napavine Chiropractic & Massage; Karen Towey Art; The Carlisle; Hitches’n’Things; Four Seasons Landscaping; Raintree Nursery; Lewis County Title; Better Homes & Garden Realty; and from Sandy Bowen, Kaye McGraw, Lori Van Clifford, Hanna Perry and the volunteer fire fighters from Lewis County Fire District 1.

Following dinner, there will also be the famed dessert frenzy, where those seated at each table will be able to put cash donations in an envelope. Once all envelopes are gathered and the money counted, the table which donated the most will have the first go at a selection of desserts from local bakeries.

The Mason Jar Gathering Barn is located at 637 Leonard Road in Onalaska.
