Phil and Beckie (Kemmerer) Daniels, of Onalaska, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip aboard the Victoria Clipper V from Seattle to Victoria, B.C., where they spent five days at the Fairmont Empress Hotel.

They met while students at Western Washington State College (now Western Washington University) in Bellingham and were married June 15, 1974, at Mercer Island Presbyterian Church, Mercer Island.

They raised their family in Redmond and Kirkland, Washington, and moved to Onalaska after Phil retired from his position as an instrumentation and controls engineer with the Wastewater Treatment Division of King County.

Beckie is a housewife and a member of Rainy Daze Quilt Guild and Heartstring Quilters.

Both are active in Austin-Healey car clubs in Washington, Oregon and British Columbia.

The couple has two children: Natalie and husband, Jon Wilkie, of Seattle; and Mike and partner Carley Luehrs, of Marysville.
