The Onalaska volleyball team came away with a big home win on Thursday, sweeping Winlock in a C2BL matchup 25-14, 25-21, 25-16.

“We showed up to play tonight,” Onalaska coach Susan Gordon said. “We made our own energy and we owned our game. We believed in ourselves as a team tonight. Everyone contributed tonight in this victory.”

Led by Emalie Jacoby, the Loggers (6-4, 2-1 C2BL) were lethal from the service line. Jacoby led the team with nine aces, while Halle Henricksen and Aliana Morales both added four.

Jacoby was all over the floor, nearly posting a quadruple-double. Along with her nine aces, she also posted nine kills, 11 assist and 18 digs. Braelyn Babb led the team in assists, however, dishing out 12 in addition to six digs.

Capri McGraw recorded double-digits digs with 10, Sommer Zurinskas added five kills and Karsyn Koenig added three.

While the Cardinals (6-3, 1-2 C2BL) made things interesting in the second set, they were never able to get on a much-needed roll.

Winlock will look to rebound Saturday at home against Tenino, while the Loggers will go for their second straight win on Tuesday down in Kalama.
