Onalaska School District Launches ‘Stuff the Bus’ Campaign

Posted

The Onalaska School District is sponsoring its annual “Stuff the Bus” campaign.

The effort will allow community members to donate school supplies to help those students who may not be able to afford all of the items on the school supply list.

A school bus will be parked in front of the district office located at 540 Carlisle Ave. in Onalaska.  There are barrels and boxes inside the bus where patrons may donate supplies.

Pens, pencils, notebooks, copy paper, backpacks, glue sticks, boxes of tissue, crayons and colored markers are just some of the supplies that can be donated for use by Onalaska students.

The campaign will run the week of Aug. 22 through Aug. 25. The bus will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

“Last year, donations were at an all-time high,” the district stated in a news release. “The district wants to thank all those patrons who supported the students of Onalaska with your generous donations.”

Those with questions can contact Superintendent Kristin Soderback  at 360-978-4111, option 5.
