Behind seven made field goals apiece from Leah Hamilton and Renzy Marshall, the Loggers jumped out to an 18-point lead and never looked back en route to a 59-36 victory over the Wolves on Saturday afternoon.
Hamilton and Marshall each finished with 16 points, five rebounds and missed just five combined shots. Marshall was a thief on the defensive side of the court with nine steals. Emalie Jacoby added 13 points for Onalaska (7-3), extending its winning streak to four games.
It outscored Black Hills in three of the four quarters. The Loggers take on Mossyrock on Wednesday in a non-league matchup.
Black Hills (7-3) was paced by Natalie Buchanan’s 13 points while Tyler Venable chipped in 11. Since a 5-0 start, the Wolves have gone 2-3. They have one more non-league contest against another C2BL foe in Rainier on Monday.
