A 68-year-old White Salmon woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision on state Route 7 near Eatonville on Wednesday.

A 64-year-old White Salmon man and an 82-year-old Elbe man were transported to Tacoma General Hospital for medical treatment.

The crash was reported at 4:07 p.m. on June 5. Both directions of state Route 7 at Marshel Prairie Road were closed for 4 hours and 13 minutes while troopers investigated and cleared the scene, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A gray 2023 Toyota Tundra driven by the White Salmon man, who was identified by the Washington State Patrol as Robert D. Lillie, was traveling northbound on state Route 7 at Marshel Prairie Road when the Toyota reportedly crossed the centerline and struck a southbound silver 1998 Chevy GMT-400 driven by the Elbe man, identified as William M. Gilliardi.

The Toyota came to rest in the southbound ditch. The Chevy came to rest on its side in both lanes of state Route 7.

The deceased White Salmon woman, identified as Nora J. Auble, was a passenger in the Toyota, according to the state patrol.

Investigators have determined drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash. The case of the crash is under investigation.
