A Portland man is facing charges of raping his daughter repeatedly at a local hotel.
The 32-year-old man was arrested Saturday after staff at a Ramada Inn in Southeast Portland notified police about suspicions they had about what was going on in the man’s room, according to a probable cause affidavit.
When police arrived at the hotel, the father and daughter weren’t there, the affidavit said. Hotel staff reported they had been hearing noises from the room for weeks, and that the room was occupied only by the man and his daughter.
Police found the man with his daughter and wife later that day at a church, where they arrested him.
The girl was placed with a foster family, according to the affidavit.
The suspect on Monday pleaded not guilty to charges of rape and sexual abuse. He is being held in Multnomah County Inverness Jail.
