Oregon Sex Sting Ensnares Vice Principal

A vice principal at Centennial High School in Gresham was among eight men arrested Thursday on allegations of sex solicitation, according to Lake Oswego police.

Terrance Schloth, the vice principal, is accused of offering a police decoy money for sex. The 52-year-old was booked into Clackamas County Jail the same day after he gave police a false name and then refused to give his real one, police said. He was released on Thursday as well, jail records show.

The Centennial School District learned Friday about Schloth’s arrest, a spokesperson for the district said Sunday. The district then put him on administrative leave, spokesperson Albert Rosales-Korrea said. He did not say whether the leave was paid or unpaid.

“District leaders will cooperate with the authorities and provide relevant details as they become available,” Rosales-Korrea wrote in a statement. “Given this is a personnel matter still under investigation by the authorities, the district cannot provide additional details.”

A call to Schloth’s home was not answered Sunday.
