Fall may have only just begun, but snow is already falling at one of Oregon’s favorite ski resorts.
Mt. Bachelor, outside of Bend in central Oregon, announced its first snow earlier this week.
In a video taken near the summit, spokesperson Presley Quon sat on a rock in front of skree dusted with snow.
“We hiked all the way up here to confirm that the rumors are true,” she said. “It snowed last night and we are getting stoked for opening day on Nov. 28.”
If the snow keeps up, it’s possible Mt. Bachelor could open even earlier than anticipated. Last year, good snow meant the resort was able to open ahead of schedule.
