Eleven Lewis County departments, offices and related agencies have teamed up to create the Passport to Lewis County Public Services game for this year’s Southwest Washington Fair, a news release from the Lewis County Department of Public Works stated.

Upon entering the fair, individuals can pick up a passport at the Guest Services Building, which serves as the information gazebo along the Midway. To earn stamps to complete the passport, participants must answer questions related to the services that each of the participating booths offers the community.

Completed passports can be turned in at the Guest Services Building to be entered into drawings for daily prizes as well as grand prizes at the end of the fair. Daily prizes will be drawn shortly after 5 p.m. each day, according to the news release. Prizes will be announced at Guest Services.

Fairgoers are encouraged to visit the featured fair locations between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily to get their passport stamped. There will be one completed passport per person per day allowed. Prizes for adults as well as children are available. Daily prizes include fair-themed items, such as carnival ride tickets, board games and compost bins. Grand prizes include bicycles, adult and kids’ walkie-talkie sets, annual membership to the Master Recycler Composter Tool Bucket Library, a backpack with school supplies, and more.

Booths that are participating include the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, WSU Extension Master Gardeners and Master Food Preservers, 4-H, Lewis County Youth Mentorship, Lewis County Noxious Weeds, Lewis County Public Works Solid Waste Utility, WSU Extension Master Recycler Composter Volunteers, Lewis County 911 Dispatch, Riverside Fire Authority and Lewis County Emergency Management.
