The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association announced its newest Hall of Fame class last week, and Pe Ell alum Alissa Brooks-Johnson will be one of the eight inductees.

At Pe Ell, Brooks-Johnson won a dozen individual state titles in track and field, helping the Pe Ell girls track and field team win three straight team state championships from 2010 to 2012 and take second in 2013.

She was also named league MVP twice in volleyball, and she notched a spot on the 2B All-Tournament first team in 2012.

On the hardwood, she earned first-team all-league honors her final two years and helped lead Pe Ell to back-to-back top-five finishes at state in 2012 and 2013.

After her high school career, Brooks-Johnson continued to excel athletically at Washington State University, where she became a two-time All-American and a three-time Pac-12 champion in the heptathlon.

In 2024, she was inducted into the WSU Hall of Fame.

In the latest WIAA Hall of Fame class, Brooks-Johnson is joined by Kellen Moore (Athlete, Prosser), Sue Doering (Coach, Colfax and Deer Park), Tom Moore (Coach, Prosser), Bob Rose (Official, Football and Basketball), Bruce Campbell (Contributor, WIAA District Director, Wenatchee HS), Cindy Adsit (Administrator, WIAA Assistant Executive Director), and Harlan Kredit (Administrator, WIAA Executive Board, Lynden Christian HS).

The newest members of the Hall of Fame will be honored at a luncheon at the Snoqualmie Resort and Casino in Snoqualmie on Wednesday, May 6. Doors open at 11 a.m., lunch is served at 12 p.m., and the ceremony begins at 12:30 p.m.
