The Pe Ell and Oakville boys basketball teams were eliminated from the 1B District 4 Tournament on Monday, as both the Trojans and Acorns lost elimination games in Raymond.
The Trojans lost 50-34 against Taholah in the first game of the doubleheader, and the Acorns lost 71-51 to Naselle in the nightcap.
If either team had won, they would have been one win away from the state tournament.
Instead, Pe Ell finishes its season 9-13, and Oakville ends at 8-11.
The Trojans will lose three seniors: Calan McCarty, Jakob Hayes, and Silas Edgar.
And the Acorns will also lose three: Daniel Rodas, Koner Burnett, and Isaiah Bird.
