It took until March for the seventh-seeded Trojans to falter for the first time this season, dropping a 59-18 verdict to No. 2 Waterville-Mansfield in a Class 1B opening round game on Saturday in Wenatchee.

The 18 points is the lowest scoring output by Pe Ell (21-1) since scoring 13 against Mossyrock two years ago. It tallied just six points in the second half versus the Shockers.

The Trojans will now play a Round of 12 elimination game against 10th-seeded Oakesdale on Wednesday morning in Spokane. Oakesdale upended Taholah by a comfortable margin, the same Taholah squad Pe Ell beat by double digits in the district title game.
