Three-peats are hard to do. Unless your name is Karli Phelps.
The Trojans junior point guard was named as the Columbia Valley League MVP on the girls side for the third consecutive season. The all-league teams, voted on by the coaches, were released on Thursday.
Phelps helped Pe Ell claim the No. 10 seed in the Class 1B state tournament. She was one of the key pieces in leading the Trojans to their second straight District 4 title.
Just like last year, her teammates Peyton Zock and Maisy King, were also named to the first team. Zock’s prep career is nearing a close as a senior while King, an eighth grade starter last season, is only beginning.
Oakville-North River’s Ui’Lani Siufanua grabbed first team honors for the second straight season. Wahkiakum’s head coach Ross Lofstrom was named as the Coach of the Year.
