A 29-year-old Chehalis man was struck by a vehicle while he was standing in the roadway on U.S. Highway 12 near Mary’s Corner early Sunday morning
The crash was reported just before 4:10 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, at milepost 68 of eastbound U.S. Highway 12, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The pedestrian, identified by the Washington State Patrol as Daniel J. Adams, was reportedly standing in the eastbound lane when a silver 2021 Toyota Tacoma driven by Robert A. Stewart, 65, of Tenino, swerved out of the eastbound lane to avoid Adams. The right mirror of the Toyota reportedly struck Adams, who was transported to Tacoma General Hospital for treatment.
“Pedestrian in the roadway” was determined to be the cause of the crash, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Drugs or alcohol were not involved in the crash, according to the Washington State Patrol.
