Takhlakh Lake, located north of Mt. Adams, center, sits under a beautiful blue sky on Sunday, June 12. It's a unique year for the lakeside campground, winter storms took a toll on Forest Road 23, leaving it completely impassable from the north, yet the route from the south remains the best route for trailer campers. Visitors are down and camping spots are plentiful.
Mt. Adams is seen on the horizon of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Each Summer, the Gifford Pinchot is a hot spot for outdoor recreation, but this year outdoor activities have been dampened due to heavy damage to the main route of Forest Road 23.
Wallupt Lake, located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, is a popular spot for campers and fishers alike.
