A pair of double digit scoring innings fueled the Adna High School softball team to a 24-0, five-inning rout over Morton-White Pass on Thursday night to wrap up league play.

It puts the bow on another regular season championship for the Pirates (14-4, 7-1 C2BL) and the league’s No. 1 seed for the Class 2B District 4 tournament that commences next week at Fort Borst Park.

Ten runs in the bottom of the first inning and 14 more in the second was all Adna needed to coast to its fourth consecutive win. Gaby Guard and Karsyn Freeman each notched three hits, drove in three runs and scored three times. Avery LaFontaine struck out six and allowed one hit in the circle.

The Pirates close the regular season on Saturday against Montesano while MWP (7-12, 1-7) faces North Beach on Friday in a district pigtail game.
