Two goals in the opening 32 minutes allowed Yelm to secure a non-league win over Adna on Tuesday night in Yelm. After drawing with Highland a week ago, the Pirates have been kept off the scoreboard in two contests against higher classification foes.
Still, head coach Patrick Richardson is not pressing the panic button.
“Playing good competition makes it tough,” he said. “We are still working on figuring out our coverages and rotations.”
Yelm’s Kiley Clark (12th minute), Kylar Medlock (31st minute) and Jada Katona (41st minute) all found the back of the net. Adna (0-2-1) had some chances in the final 15 minutes, but couldn’t find the back of the net.
The Pirates will take on another 4A program in Bethel on Thursday at home.
