Four Centralia girls placed in the top-6 at the Everett Invite on Saturday as the Tigers finished fifth as a team out of 46 teams.

The Tigers were led by senior Analeese Mcallister, who won the 140-pound title. Jade Hudson was second at 105 pounds, Luna Martinez was fifth at 100 pounds and Anna Stinkeoway placed sixth at heavyweight.

“Analeese wrestled a very solid tournament and we are very proud of her effort,” Centralia wrestling coach Scott Phillips said. “The rest of our girls wrestled well also.”

The boys wrestling team competed at the Olympia Round Robin All-Comers Tournament. Sophomore Antonio Campos, who wrestles at 120 pounds, pushed his school career record to a perfect 26-0.

The boys return to action  on Saturday at Tumwater High School. The girls head to Juanita High School on Saturday.

Two Pirates Place at Wildcat Invite

Adna’s Ryder Calhoun and Tristan Ridley were the lone placers at the annual Wildcat Invitational at La Center High School on Saturday.

Calhoun, a freshman, placed fourth at 106 pounds, while Ridley, a senior, was third at 160 pounds.

“It was a big tournament with some huge schools, so it was good for our younger wrestlers to see schools we normally don't get to,” Adna wrestling coach Craig Ferrier said. “It was great to see Ryder wrestle well and place at 106.  If Tristan would have been on the other side of  the bracket, he would have ended in the finals. But he battled back after the loss to place third.”

Adna next heads to Napavine High School on Wednesday for a tournament.
