The Toledo Neighbors Program, a nonprofit that helps people share food and other resources with their neighbors without restrictions, has received a $15,000 donation from Puget Sound Energy, the nonprofit announced Tuesday.

“This will help with costs for flooring, heat and cooling, etc.” Toledo Neighbors Program said in a Facebook post, adding, “Unrestricted funds allow the board to use our best judgment to maximize the impact of every dollar we receive.”

Puget Sound Energy representatives presented the check, dated Dec. 30, to the Toledo Neighbors Program lastweekend.

Puget Sound Energy is headquartered in Bellevue and services roughly 1.3 million customers across Western Washington, according to the company’s website.
