The Pumpkin Trains are returning to the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad and Museum, just in time for the arrival of autumn.

On Oct. 10 and 11, Pumpkin Trains will depart the depot at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Children, as well as adults, are encouraged to wear costumes and help create a fun-filled Halloween atmosphere.

All excursions are approximately 75 minutes long. Goody bags of treats and pumpkins are ready for children under age 12.

The cost is $19 per person for those ages 6 years and older. Children ages 3-5 years are $16. Children 2 and under can ride for free with a paying adult.

Indoor and outdoor seating is first-come, first-served.

Food trucks and coffee stands will be on site, along with an opportunity to spin the wheel with Operation Lifesaver to learn about train safety.

The scenic historic train ride will take passengers on a 14-mile roundtrip excursion through the Chehalis River Valley.
