PWV blows by RSB behind Strozyk, King

Six days after being kept in check in the first half, the Titans woke up and poured on the scoring against the Ravens in a 53-14 C2BL West thrashing of the Ravens on Friday night in Menlo.

Cody Strozyk and Blaine King each found the end zone twice in the opening 24 minutes as PWV (3-2, 1-0 C2BL West) lit up the scoreboard a bunch to the tune of 47 points. Nate Fluke added two passing touchdowns to the rout.

“Kids came out fired up,” Titans interim head coach Josh Seymour said.

Fluke had just four incompletions on the night, tossing four touchdowns for 186 yards. King and Strozyk tallied over 100 total offensive yards apiece. Seymour mentioned how PWV is getting plenty of stacked boxes to stop the run.

It has opened the passing game up.

“We want to be a little more balanced,” Seymour said. “We got some good weapons on the outside. Loosen up the run game a little bit.”

The Titans will get an extra day before facing Ilwaco for a Saturday afternoon kick.
