Fueled by a 10-run first inning in Game 1 and constant offense in Game 2, the Titans dominated the Loggers on Monday afternoon en route to a 13-3 and 12-2 verdicts to sweep a non-league twinbill in Pe Ell.
Forty-eight hours after getting swept by Ilwaco, PWV (3-2) didn’t waste any opportunities to score double digit runs for the first time this spring. All 10 of its runs in the first of the opener came with zero outs. Kash Ruddell and Camden Wettrauer each had two-run singles in the frame.
Braden Neva added insurance with a two-run double in the third. The Titans top-three hitters in the lineup combined for six hits, four RBIs and six runs scored. Mauricio Morales went the distance and struck out eight to earn the win.
Three Loggers (0-7) notched two hits in Broxton Mounce, Broden Vickers and Dakota Kramer. Beau Bond joined Kramer and Mounce with RBIs.
The nightcap featured a seven-run bottom of the third for PWV to extend its 3-0 cushion. Max Jarvis had the big hit with a bases-clearing double. Deacon Green was 2-for-2 with two RBIs, two runs scored and two walks in the contest.
Fourteen bases were stolen by the Titans, led by Morales’ four. Kaeden Blain worked around five hits and two walks to come away with the win on the bump. Onalaska’s two runs came in the fourth on a Tyler Martin RBI double and Huddson Barnes’ run-scoring single.
PWV will take on Napavine in another non-league tilt on Tuesday while Onalaska will head to Rainier on Wednesday.
