RBI Run-Rules Tenino

Rural Baseball Inc. dug itself an early hole but got out of it and then some, slamming 15 runs onto the scoreboard between the second and third innings to beat Tenino 17-5 on Thursday.

Jaeger Jonhson (Toutle Lake), Tre Groninger (Oakville), James Cusson (Winlock), Austin Chapman (Napavine, and Hunter Gutenberger (Rainier, Ore.) all went 2 for 3 for the Dirtbags, and all drove at least one run in.

Gutenberger got the win on the hill for a three-inning effort, before Winlock’s Kyrin Meehan provided a two-inning bridge to Kalama’s Connor Darnell.

Tenino took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first, but eight runs in the bottom of the second and seven more in the bottom of the third got things out of hand quickly for the Trappers. RBI added two runs in the fourth and two in the sixth to keep the lead at double-digits.

RBI hosted a pair of doubleheaders at Castle Rock High School over the weekend, facing Grays Harbor Longshore for two Saturday and Black Hills for two more Sunday.
