U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Skamania, has announced that she and her team will hold office hours at the Mountain View Timberland Library in Randle.
Gluesenkamp Perez stated in a news release that the office hours, which will be held in the Mountain View Meeting Room from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, aim to help residents with issues concerning federal agencies such as Veterans Affairs, the Internal Revenue Service or the State Department.
According to the news release, the congresswoman has recovered more than $7.5 million for more than 2,100 of her constituents who were owed money by a federal agency. That sum includes $542,000 from Veterans Affairs, $1.3 million from the State Department and $2.9 million from the Internal Revenue Service.
“My bipartisan team is working each day to directly assist folks across Southwest Washington with federal agencies — whether it’s recovering Social Security checks, tax refunds or veterans benefits you’re owed,” Gluesenkamp Perez said.
“Our services shouldn’t be any less accessible because of where you live — so I’ve made it my priority to bring mobile office hours to every county across Southwest Washington. By holding 20 sets of mobile office hours since taking office, we’ve been able to serve folks who might not otherwise be able to visit my offices. I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to stop by, and I’ll keep working to ensure we can reach more of our rural communities.”
The Mountain View Timberland Library is located at 10111 U.S. Highway 12, Randle.
