With “No Kings” protests unfolding across the country on Saturday, some local Republicans in Lewis County are planning their own event.
“For those of you who love to drive with American flags and Trump is our president banners, there’s a car caravan making a loop from the Veterans Museum north through Chehalis and Centralia and back south to the Veterans Museum,” Elizabeth Rohr wrote on Facebook. “Kickstands up at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18.
Lewis County Commissioner Sean Swope also announced the event.
“We’ll cruise through Chehalis and Centralia — flying flags, waving banners, and celebrating America and President Trump!” Swope wrote on Facebook. “Route: Veterans Museum → Penny Playground → Chehalis Safeway → Kresky → Tower Ave → Centralia Safeway → Airport Rd past I-5 Toyota & Home Depot → back to Veterans Museum. Bring your flags and your freedom spirit!”
The local No Kings protest is being held today at George Washington Park in Centralia.
