The Chehalis Basin Collaborative for Salmon Habitat and the Coast Salmon Partnership have developed the Salmon Spotting Tool to record information on where and when residents see salmon in the Chehalis Watershed.
Residents can report salmon and fill out the survey at https://chehalisleadentity.org/the-Chehalis-watershed.
The survey records useful data, including the date and time of salmon observed, current weather conditions, and river and stream flow levels, used to gather information to pinpoint when salmon are present.
The survey results will help restoration practitioners learn more about current salmon and stream conditions.
