Ribbon-cutting ceremony set for JJ’s ToGo as it opens in former Dawn’s Delectables space

JJ’s ToGo is celebrating its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday, April 22, in downtown Centralia.

Jessica Britton began JJ’s in a 10-foot galley kitchen in her apartment as a side gig to make extra money. In mid-April, that side-gig turned into a full-fledged restaurant with her sister-in-law, Devin Britton, in the location formerly occupied by Dawn’s Delectables.

The public is invited to celebrate with them as they formally open JJ’s ToGo at 204 N. Tower Ave. in Centralia.

Their focus is on making food that is fresh, flavorful and made from scratch.

“There are layers of flavors that go into our food,” Devin said. “The food has a bit of an Asian flair but we get our inspiration from many different food ethnicities.”

Jessica also noted while they get ideas and inspiration from others, “We take pride in making things different,” she added.
