The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Washington Trucking School, located at 181 Ribelin Road in Chehalis, at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, the chamber announced this week.

Washington Trucking School provides quality commercial driver’s license (CDL) training for class A, class B, passenger/school bus and hazmat licenses, according to the news release.

The business is formally opening its newest location in Chehalis on Wednesday, with the original branch located in Olympia, according to the chamber of commerce.

Washington Trucking School is a smaller facility that allows smaller class sizes and a three-to-one student-to-teacher ratio, according to the chamber.

“I love seeing students succeed. The joy you see when things finally click for students is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever experienced,” said instructor Tayln Lundsford.

Classes start every two weeks, and the school will help students apply for funding and set up testing to complete immediately after their instruction, according to the chamber.

“We pride ourselves not only on making our students feel comfortable but on ensuring that they leave our school with the confidence that they are set up to succeed in the jobs waiting for them with their CDL,” said Assistant Manager James Fasano.
