TOLEDO — Thanks to a versatile offensive attack, the Toledo softball team swept its doubleheader with visiting Morton-White Pass Friday evening in 11-1 and 18-7 victories at the Toledo Softball Fields.

The Riverhawks (4-3, 2-1 C2BL) dominated in both games, with Bethany Bowen pitching a strong first game, lasting all five innings with eight punchouts and just three hits allowed and no earned runs. Mialeigh Jurica mashed a mini-cycle, going 4 for 4 with a single, two doubles, and a triple, leading the way to 12 total hits for the Hawks.

In the second game, Bowen pitched the first 3 ⅓ innings, allowing three hits with three earned runs and three strikeouts. Toledo collected 15 total hits, led by Quyn Norberg’s 4 for 4 performance with four RBIs and four runs scored.

The Timberwolves, meanwhile, struggled in the circle, but found a rhythm in the second game on offense, with Natalia Armstrong going 3 for 4 with two runs, and Emarey Hampton unloading a double after a tough first game.

Toledo will look to keep it going against Adna on Saturday, while Morton-White Pass looks to respond in its next outing.
