The Toledo volleyball team lost its Thursday matchup to Toutle Lake in three sets, 25-21, 25-15, 25-16.

“We did a better job of reading the ball and getting to where we needed to be,” Toledo coach Kelli Larson said. “We just couldn’t convert it offensively.”

The Riverhawks (3-6, 0-2 C2BL) finished with a hitting percentage just a shade over .000 on the night, tallying 19 kills to 17 errors as a group.

On top of that, Toledo managed just one ace on the night.

Defensively, Lyndzie Filla led the way with 18 digs, and Elli Fallon came in behind her with 12. Whitney Olson dished out 17 assists.

Toledo will be in Longview on Saturday for R.A. Long’s tournament, then head back south Tuesday to play a C2BL match at Wahkiakum.
