The Toledo volleyball team kept each set close but couldn’t pull any one all the way out, falling in three to Wahkiakum 26-24, 25-18, 25-18.

“They were similar to us, we had lots of opportunities, we just couldn't put them away,” Toledo coach Kelli Larson said.

Bethany Bowen put down six kills to lead the Riverhawks, and added nine digs.

“She missed a few weeks in the season and has come back and played strong in the front row and setting for us,” Larson said.

Aleena Bloomstrom added a team-high 10 digs to go along with five kills, while Lyndzie Filla had seven digs.

Toledo will host the defending district champs when Kalama comes to town next Tuesday.
