The Toledo girls soccer team made its trip out to the coast well worth it Monday, downing Ilwaco in a wet Central 2B League matchup 6-0.
Hallie Cournyer scored two goals in the opening 16 minutes to get the Riverhawks (2-6-1, 1-3-0 C2BL) started, and added an assist before the evening was through.
Ava Good made it 3-0 before halftime with a goal on her birthday. Zaya Norberg added two goals in the second half, and Ryah Stanley, who set up Cournyer’s first strike, got in on the scoring as well.
Hope Gould and Abril Cabrera split duties in net, and each made one save in their 40 respective minutes.
Toledo is set to face Toutle Lake on Wednesday.
