The Rochester boys golf team opened the WIAA fall season with a bang, as the Warriors topped Hoquiam 274-311 in a 1A Evergreen clash at Riverside.
The Warriors (1-0, 1-0 1A Evergreen) were led by freshman Kellen Douthit, who a match-best shot a 52, while Boden Grimm wasn’t far behind with a 53.
Cash Edminster and Wesley Dahl followed by each shooting a 56, and Simon Barth rounded out the Rochester scorers with a 57. Michael Zumwalt rounded out the Rochester squad with a 61.
The Warriors will look to make it two in a row to open the season, as they’ll host Elma in a league match on Tuesday at Riverside.
