Roof Doctor Donates Roofing, Labor for Concession Stand at Back Memorial Park in Adna

The Roof Doctor business in Chehalis donated about 2,800 square feet of composition roofing on Monday and a full day's worth of labor to help reroof the concession stand building at Back Memorial Park in Adna.

“I thought it would be a pretty cool thing to do,” said Roof Doctor project manager Colton Watts. “It looked like it was in pretty bad shape.”

Watts said he noticed the tattered roofing last summer when his family was using the two softball fields. His daughter plays softball on those fields, and he and his family use the fields for an adult recreation league.

He and his crews were out there between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday for the project. The park is located just off state Route 6 and Dieckman Road, near the Adna Middle-High School sports complex and the Willapa Hills Trail. According to Lewis County’s website, the park is maintained by the Adna Lions Club and is open March 15 to Oct. 31.

Watts said he wanted to get this project done in time for the upcoming softball season.
