Roundtable to talk Lewis County farm marketing set for Monday

The Port of Chehalis, The Economic Alliance of Lewis County and the Northwest Agriculture

Business Center will hold a roundtable discussion Monday to discuss the preliminary findings from the feasibility study of the Lewis County Regional Farm Direct Market Association.

Sponsored by the Farm Store, the event will include an array of snacks from Dawn’s Delectables. According to a news release from the Economic Alliance, the event agenda includes:

  • Expanding existing market channels
  • The concept of a Lewis County direct farm brand
  • Streamlining the sale and distribution of locally grown products
  • Fostering growth and sustainability of farmers markets through collaborative resources and marketing
  • Expanding local access to regionally produced farm and ranch goods

“Your active involvement, alongside the Port of Chehalis, USDA funding, and our sponsor partner, the Farm Store, will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our local agriculture and its profound influence on our community,” the release states.

The discussion will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Centralia Train Depot, located at 210 Railroad Ave.
