With Veterans Day approaching on Tuesday, Nov. 11, events are being planned across the region, including at the American Legion Grant Hodge Post 22.
Members of Grant Hodge Post 17, located at 111 W. Main St. in downtown Centralia, will once again host their annual Veterans Day Bean Feed starting at 10 a.m., featuring a speech from retired U.S. Army Colonel Ron Averill with patriotic music and military hymns performed by the Centralia High School band.
However, this won’t be the only Veterans Day event Grant Hodge Post 17 will be involved with, as Post 17 Commander Bob Clark is scheduled to be the guest speaker later that day at the Chehalis Tribal Veterans Day Honor Dinner at the Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel.
The Chehalis Tribal Veterans Day Honor Dinner is open to all veterans, active duty military members and their families, according to a Grant Hodge Post 17 Facebook post.
The dinner will be held in the Lucky Eagle Casino’s events center, with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. and the ceremony starting at 5 p.m.
