Salmon fishing off mouth of Columbia River to reopen Monday

Salmon fishing will reopen Monday off the mouth of the Columbia River after a week-long closure.

Federal managers said there are enough hatchery coho remaining in the pre-season quota to allow more fishing through Thursday.

Rules will be the same as before — two salmon per day, only one chinook and all coho must be fin-clipped.

The open area is between Cape Falcon (Manzanita) and Leadbetter Point (Long Beach).
