Scammed Chehalis man arrives shirtless to courthouse

No shirt, no shoes, no money?

On Aug. 15, the Chehalis Police Department logged a report from a man who claimed he had received a call that he was going to be arrested for a warrant.

To make matters worse, the man said he was told to show up to the courthouse with no shirt and no shoes and wait to be detained.

According to the report, the man did indeed show up — though it’s not clear whether he did so bare-chested and shoeless.

Fortunately, no one showed up to detain him. Unfortunately, the man also claimed he was scammed out of money by the caller.

The report did not mention how long the man waited at the courthouse, or how much money he lost.

No arrests were made.
