Sen. Lindsey Graham Calls Joe Biden the ‘Most Incompetent’ President of His Lifetime

COLUMBIA, S.C. — U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham didn’t mince words during a Fox News appearance on Wednesday, calling President Joe Biden the “most incompetent” president on foreign policy that he has witnessed in his lifetime.

Graham added that he thinks Biden, whom he once considered a friend and has known for nearly two decades, is worse than the nation’s 39th president, Jimmy Carter.

“He doesn’t understand the nature of the war on terrorism,” the Republican senator said of Biden. “He believes that if we can withdraw from these regions that we’ll be safe.”

Graham and other Republicans have repeatedly attacked the Biden administration for its handling of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, specifically pointing to the Kabul airport bombing that left roughly 60 people dead, including 13 U.S. service members. Some, Graham included, have even called to impeach Biden for the incident.

During the month of August, the U.S. evacuated nearly 82,000 people from Afghanistan, one of largest airlifts in the country’s history, according to the Associated Press. However, nearly 200 people died during that time.

Graham was also censured last month by the Dorchester County Republican Party after voting over the summer in support of Biden’s infrastructure bill, as first reported by the Post and Courier. South Carolina will get approximately $6 billion of federal funds from the infrastructure spending plan.
