Playing without seven of its varsity players Tuesday night against Kalama, the Toledo girls basketball team was able to find new playmakers in a 54-30 win on the road.

The Riverhawks (8-2, 2-0 C2BL) got 17 points from eighth-grader Ryah Stanley, 12 points from swing player Bethany Bowen, 11 points from Taylor Langhaim and 10 from Vanesa Rodriguez in a well-rounded scoring effort.

“Ryah Stanley played a great game,” Riverhawks coach Randy Wood said. “I was proud of our seniors for stepping up and leading our young players and telling them where to be.”

Toledo will look to its new playmakers once again in a pivotal league matchup with Onalaska on Thursday.
