CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Assault
• A 12-year-old boy was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center for third-degree assault after he allegedly punched a staff member in the arm at a facility in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way just after 11:20 a.m. on April 28.
Green Hill School
• Isaiah Jamon Andrews, 19, was charged April 25 in Lewis County Superior Court with two counts of custodial assault and one count of felony harassment for allegedly punching a Green Hill School staff member and spitting on another staff member during a scuffle on Jan. 16. He allegedly threatened to kill Green Hill staff after his lip was injured during the incident. A transport order from Department of Corrections custody is being filed.
CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Unlawful imprisonment
• A juvenile was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center for unlawful imprisonment after they allegedly assaulted a family member and kept the family member “shut in a room against their will for a couple hours,” according to the Centralia Police Department. The victim escaped and called the police after convincing the juvenile that they needed to use the bathroom, according to the Centralia Police Department.
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just after 3:40 p.m. on April 28 is under investigation.
• A hit-and-run reported in the 200 block of North Pearl Street just after 3 p.m. on April 29 is under investigation.
DUI
• A 33-year-old Centralia man was arrested for DUI at the intersection of North Tower Avenue and East Fourth Street at 10:20 p.m. on April 28.
Reckless driving
• An 18-year-old Centralia man was cited for reckless driving after he was found doing donuts in a gravel parking lot in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue just before 8:55 a.m. on April 29.
Dispute
• A physical dispute between two homeless men was reported in the 600 block of North Tower Avenue just after 9:05 p.m. on April 29. One of the men fled the scene and the other man was transported to the hospital for treatment. “The male who was transported was uncooperative with officers who attempted to investigate the incident,” according to the Centralia Police Department.
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Monday morning and Tuesday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 24 illness-related calls, three injury-related calls, five fire-related calls, three non-emergency service calls, one vehicle accident, one Lifeline medical alert and one overdose.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 154 inmates, including 141 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 113 were reported male and 28 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Wednesday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 11 inmates, including four booked by the Centralia Police Department, three booked by the state Department of Corrections, three booked by the La Push Quileute Nation and one booked by the City of Winlock.
