Sirens: $1,600 in items stolen or damaged from city shed; indecent exposure reported at park; two arrested for reckless driving

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Kelley L. Gibbs, 37, Winlock, and Evan T. Gibbs, 20, Chehalis, were arrested in the 1400 block of Johnson Road at about 5:04 p.m. Oct. 28 after they allegedly entered the apartment of a family member unlawfully and assaulted someone inside.

• Marshall Chrisman, 24, Centralia, and Anthony D. Martinez, 25, Chehalis, were both arrested for first-degree reckless driving and first-degree negligent driving in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue at about 1:50 a.m. Oct. 29. The charges allegedly stem from an officer monitoring traffic on Harrison Avenue who witnessed both males racing at a high rate of speed. Alcohol was allegedly involved in the incident.

Accidents

• A hit-and-run collision was reported in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue at about 4:23 p.m. Oct. 28. The case is under investigation.

Burglary

• A city shed was reportedly broken into and nearly $1,600 worth of items were either damaged or stolen in the 100 block of Pioneer Way at about 9:24 a.m. Oct. 28.

Criminal trespassing

• Caralynne A. Farnworth, 32, Spokane, was arrested in the 900 block of Old Airport Way at about 11:01 a.m. Oct. 27 after allegedly refusing to leave a property after being asked to. Upon police arrival, Farnworth allegedly refused to leave and was taken into custody.

Indecent exposure

• Officers responded to a report of an unknown individual exposing his genitals to someone in a city park in the 200 block of Borst Avenue at about 2:29 p.m. Oct. 28. The case is under investigation.

Possession of methamphetamine

• Benjamin R. Hardy, 49, Centralia, was arrested in the 100 block of South Silver Street at about 5:39 p.m. Oct. 28 after allegedly being found on property from which he had previously been trespassed. Upon arrest, he was also allegedly found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamines.

Suspicious circumstances



• A resident reported that a male knocked on their door in the 1000 block of Woodland Avenue at about 11:40 p.m. Oct. 27 and said they had a gun before fleeing the area. Centralia police reportedly responded to the area within minutes but did not locate anyone of interest.

Theft

• Officers investigated a theft in the 1500 block of Lum Road at about 12:13 p.m. Oct. 27 that reportedly occurred a few days prior. The case remains under investigation.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Oct. 29, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 187 inmates, including 174 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 132 were reported male and 42 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of Oct. 29, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 19 inmates. Of those, eight were from Centralia and two were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there were four inmates from the Lummi Nation, two from the Quileute Nation, two from the Tulalip Tribe and one from Suquamish Tribe.
