CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Kristen M. Karboski, 45, Oregon, was arrested in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue at about 10:43 a.m. Aug. 25 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance, use of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant.
• Marjorie J. Perry, 45, Onalaska, was arrested in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue at about 11:35 a.m. Aug. 25 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance, use of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant.
• Cameron A. Madrigal, 29, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged second-degree assault (domestic violence) and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm in the 100 block of Shirlee Avenue at about 4:44 p.m. Aug. 26. Police said Madrigal allegedly pointed a firearm at a family/household member during a dispute. When officers arrived at the scene, Madrigal reportedly attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended.
• James Hopper, 44, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) after allegedly assaulting and injuring a household/family member in the 200 block of East Van Buren Street at about 9:23 a.m. Aug. 27.
Criminal trespass
• Garrett Hadeen-Speer, 36, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged second-degree criminal trespass in the 200 block of East Cherry Street at about 11:36 a.m. Aug. 26.
DUI
• Debra K. Leonard, 71, Centralia, was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol in the 1400 block of Salzer Creek Drive at about 9:21 p.m. Aug. 25.
• Rayce H. Evans, 19, Morton, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for allegedly driving under the influence near the corner of North Pearl Street and West Sixth Street at about 1:08 a.m. Aug. 27.
• Alyzae T. Jorden, 24, Centralia, was arrested and issued a criminal citation for allegedly driving under the influence near the corner of North Pearl Street and Tacoma Avenue at about 12:09 a.m. Aug. 28. Jorden was not booked into jail due to medical conditions, police said.
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run collision was reported near the corner of South Tower Avenue and South Street at about 3:44 p.m. Aug. 25. There was no suspect information at the time.
Liquor violations
• Three Centralia men, ages 55, 35, and 43, were issued criminal citations for having an open alcohol container in public after police allegedly found them passing around a can of malt liquor in the 100 block of South Silver Street at about 3:17 p.m. Aug. 27.
Methamphetamine possession
• Police contacted Kindal M. Powell, Zachary S. Cline, Isaac E. McAllister and River R. Johnson near the corner of Johnson Road and Borst Avenue at about 3:04 p.m. Aug. 25. Powell, 38, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia. Cline, 33, Chehalis, was arrested and released with a criminal citation for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia. McAllister, 40, Centralia, and Johnson, 30, Centralia, were arrested and released with a criminal citation for alleged use of drug paraphernalia.
Sexual misconduct
• Sexual misconduct was reported in the 1700 block of South Gold Street at about 8:26 p.m. Aug. 26. The case is under investigation.
Theft
• Police received a report of a stolen laptop in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue at about 10:29 a.m. Aug. 26. The theft reportedly occurred weeks earlier. No suspect information was available at the time.
• Police received a report of a phone scam in the 300 block of East Maple Street at about 11:14 a.m. Aug. 26. In its press log, police said the victim was provided fraudulent checks “under the guise of being selected for a new job.” Those checks were then cashed. There was no suspect information at the time.
• Savannah Armstong, 21, Winlock, was issued a criminal citation for third-degree theft after allegedly shoplifting from a local business in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at about 3:34 p.m. Aug. 27.
• Lumber was reported stolen in the 500 block of South Yew Street at about 4:44 p.m. The case is under investigation.

JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Aug. 28, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 143 inmates, including 130 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 98 were reported male and 32 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Aug. 28, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 11 inmates. Of those, three were from Centralia and five were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there were one each from the Lummi Nation, the Quileute Nation and the Chehalis Tribal Court.
