CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Renelle L. Hansen, 40, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at around 11:10 a.m. July 14 for harassment and domestic violence in the 700 block of Silver Street.
• Noah D. Cochren-Hawkes, 35, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at about 10:03 p.m. July 14 for second-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence, after allegedly breaking the phone of a significant other in the 600 block of Alder Street. He was also referred for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, after being involved in a physical altercation with a significant other, the Centralia Police Department reported.
• Adrian R. Rojas, 22, of Centralia, was arrested at around 9:21 p.m. July 14 for driving while under the influence of alcohol, along with driving with a suspended driver’s license, in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue. Gabriel Ramirez-Cruz, 19, Aubrey R. Lopez, 18, and Lillian M. Vergara-Baldovinos, 18, all of Centralia, were in the vehicle as well. They were arrested for being minors in possession of alcohol.
Accident Hit-and-Run
• A hit-and-run collision occurred in the 118 block of West Maple Street at 9:20 a.m. July 14. There is no suspect information at this time.
Burglary
• A burglary of a storage container was reported at the corner of Fair Street and Kresky Avenue at around 11:52 a.m. July 14. This case is still under investigation, according to the Centralia Police Department.
Theft
• Three bicycles were reportedly stolen sometime during the night in the 900 block of F Street at around 6:34 a.m. July 16.
• A resident reported the theft of rental property in the 1400 block of South Gold Street at around 3:43 p.m. July 15. This case remains under investigation.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle
• A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 2800 block of Russell Road at about 4:47 p.m. July 15. Suspect information was obtained and is being investigated, according to the Centralia Police Department.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Jason C. Gray, 18, was arrested and released at about 8:57 a.m. July 11 for shoplifting and third-degree theft in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.
• Todd R. McMenamy, 58, of Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at around 3:19 a.m. July 12 for fourth-degree domestic violence and interfering with reporting domestic violence. McMenamy reportedly ripped the phone out of the caller’s hand before pushing her out the door of their residence in the 1400 block of Southwest Mills Avenue.
• Kaiden M. Richards, 21, of Centralia, was arrested and booked for allegedly driving under the influence after rolling his vehicle in the 200 block of North Market Boulevard at about 12:35 p.m. July 13.
• Zachary S. Cline, 32, of Chehalis, was issued a criminal citation and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at about 2:19 a.m. July 14 at the intersection of Northwest State Avenue and Northwest California Street.
• Malachi T. Swaydis, 19, of Tumwater, was booked into the Lewis County Jail for one count of resisting arrest, obstructing a law enforcement officer and cannabis possession under 21 at about 8:57 p.m. July 13 in the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street.
• Michael W. Osborn, 30, of Ethel, was arrested after walking around the 300 block of Southwest William Avenue drunk and carrying a baseball bat before getting in his car at about 12:19 a.m. July 15. He was charged with a felony DUI, resisting arrest, obstruction of a police officer, second-degree malicious mischief and reckless driving.
Fraud
• A resident called and reported possible fraud on their Verizon account at 11:09 a.m. July 10. They stated that a third party ordered three phones through their account, and that two out of the three phones arrived at the caller’s residence in the 1100 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue.
Burglary
• A burglary was reported in the 300 block of Coal Creek Road at about 1:50 p.m. July 10.
Theft
• A grey Toyota Corolla was reported stolen from a parking lot in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard around 11:23 a.m. on July 13.
Vehicle collision
• A two-vehicle collision occurred at about 3:02 p.m. July 10 at the corner of Northwest California Street and Northwest State Avenue.
• A caller reported a cyclist running into the back of their vehicle in the 100 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue around 11:10 a.m. July 13. The caller reported there was damage to their vehicle and a “bunch of blood on the back,” according to a police report from the Chehalis Police Department.
Hit-and-run
• A possible hit-and-run occurred in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street at about 5:06 p.m. July 10.
• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at around 4:59 p.m. July 11. The caller reported discovering a scratch on the passenger side of their truck at the time of the call.
• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 5:59 p.m. July 14.
Reckless burning
• David C. Dunham, 55, of Onalaska, was issued a criminal citation at about 6:37 a.m. July 12 for second-degree reckless burning after a small fire was observed in the 800 block of West Main Street.
Trespassing
• Julian B. McIntosh, 31, was cited and released for trespassing in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue at about 9:06 a.m. July 12.
• Kenneth L. Burge, 23, was cited and released with a criminal citation for first-degree trespassing after walking into a business in the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place and entering a bathroom at around 11:21 p.m. July 12. He also reportedly had a plastic tool bag and another tool or knife in his back pocket.
• Todd A. Bourassa, 56, was issued a criminal citation for second-degree criminal trespassing in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 9:24 a.m. July 13.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• David M. McClanahan, 46, of Tenino, was cited and released at around 5:41 p.m. July 13 for possession of drug paraphernalia after being found passed out in his vehicle in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 193 inmates, including 178 in the general population and 15 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 152 were reported male and 26 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 12 were reported male and three were reported female.
