Sirens: Arrests for drugs, DUI, theft in Chehalis; hit-and-run crash reported; warrant arrests in Centralia

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrested for warrants

• Joshua A. Loney, 33, of Centralia, was issued a summons for an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant after he was located in the 2100 block of North National Avenue in Chehalis at about 11:49 a.m. on Sept. 24.

• Billie L. Ford, 43, of Chehalis, was issued a summons for an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant after he was located in the 100 block of West Maple Street at about 1:19 p.m. on Sept. 24.

• Todd A. Bourassa, 57, of Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail after he was located in the 100 block of West Maple Street at about 4:05 p.m. on Sept. 24.

• Michael A. Ryan Jr, 34, of Lewis County, was arrested for an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant after he was located in the 100 block of West Maple Street at about 5:26 p.m. on Sept. 24.

• Cameron I. Whalen, 37, of Centralia, was arrested and released for an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant after he was located near the dog park at the intersection Northup and South Gold streets at about 4:39 p.m. on Sept. 23.

Burglary

Officers responded to a possible domestic dispute between roommates in the 1000 block of North Tower Avenue at about 3:46 p.m. on Sept. 24. This case is still being investigated.

Crash

• Officers responded to a three vehicle, non-injury collision at the intersection of South Pearl and Cherry streets at about 5:08 p.m. on Sept. 24.

Hit & Run

• A hit-and-run collision was reported at the intersection of Centralia College Boulevard and South Washington Avenue at about 9:06 p.m. on Sept. 23.

Assault

• Blake A. Perkins, 27, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 1400 block of Lewis Street at about 11:58 a.m. on Sept. 23.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• AJ Webb, 45, was cited for shoplifting from the 600 block of West Main Street at about 3:13 a.m. on Sept. 19. Webb was again cited for third-degree theft in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 9:02 p.m. on Sept. 20.



• Matthew T. Gorman, 40, was cited for third-degree theft in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 1:39 p.m. on Sept. 21.

• Jennifer R. Mai was cited for third-degree theft in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 6:46 p.m. on Sept. 22.

Obstructing a public servant

• Douglas P. Lybyer, 31, was cited for obstructing a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest in the 500 block of Southeast Adams Avenue at about 2:31 p.m. on Sept. 19.

Assault

• Danielle E. Pfannes, 44, was arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard at about 6:52 p.m. on Sept. 19.

DUI

• Tito Sanchez Mendez, 49, was arrested for DUI at the intersection of Northwest Pacific Avenue and Northwest Front Street at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Sept. 20.

Drug violation

• Travis C. Harris, 37, was cited for use of drug paraphernalia at the intersection of Southwest Third Street and Southwest Chehalis Avenue at about 6:19 p.m. on Sept. 20. He was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for an outstanding felony warrant out of Lewis County Superior Court for contempt of court. 

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Sept. 25, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 153 inmates, including 140 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 118 were reported male and 22 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of Sept. 25, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 14 inmates. Of those, one was from Centralia and seven were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there were four from the Lummi Nation and one each from the Chehalis Tribal Court and the Quileute Nation.
