CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Disorderly Conduct

• A 20-year-old from Tumwater was arrested for disorderly conduct at West Main Street and Harrison Avenue at around 7:05 a.m. on July 25.

 

Assault

• A 38-year-old woman from Centralia was arrested for assaulting her husband during a dispute in the 3400 block of Galvin Road at shortly before 11:05 a.m. on July 25.

 

Unlawful Possession

• Melissa M. Church, 46, of Silver Creek, was arrested for carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle without a permit in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue shortly after 11:40 a.m. on July 25.

 

Malicious Mischief

• A person reported spray painted graffiti on a pole in the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard shortly after 2:15 p.m. on July 25. No arrests were made.

 

Criminal Trespass

• A 40-year-old man from Centralia was arrested for trespassing in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road shortly before 4 p.m. on July 25.

Theft

• An unidentified Hispanic male with a ponytail and a tan backpack was reportedly “stuffing his pockets with merchandise” before fleeing from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue around 4:35 p.m. on July 25. No arrests were made.

• Money was reported stolen from a motel room in the 1200 block of Alder Street at around 10:10 a.m. on July 26. No arrests were made.

• Jewelry was reported stolen from a residence in the 1000 block of G Street shortly before 10:30 a.m. on July 26. No arrests were made.

• A catalytic converter was reported stolen in the 910 block of South Scheuber Road at 2:35 p.m. on July 26. No arrests were made.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run was reported at Harrison Avenue and View Avenue shortly before 12:20 p.m. on July 25. No arrests were made.



• A hit-and-run collision was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at noon on July 26. No arrests were made.

 

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

• A vehicle stolen out of Thurston County was recovered in the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue shortly before 10:10 p.m. on July 26. No arrests were made.

 

Eluding Police

• Anthony W. Dodge, of Rochester, was arrested and booked for driving under the influence and eluding after an officer attempted to stop him for speeding in the 1600 block of Reynolds Avenue shortly before 1:05 a.m. on July 27. Dodge reportedly fled on his motorcycle and then crashed.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• A person called to report they had detained a shoplifter in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at around 2:40 p.m. on July 25. The person was arrested and released or referred.

• Someone from a store in the 600 block of West Main Street called to report a theft shortly after 3:15 p.m. on July 25. The person stated the store didn’t want to press charges, or trespass the individual, and stated they would “get the money later.” No arrests were made

• A theft was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at around 3:35 p.m. on July 25. No arrests were made.

 

Suspicious Circumstances

• A person called to report someone was “messing with a tractor” in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue shortly before 10:45 p.m. on July 25. No arrests were made.

• Two juveniles, who were wearing dark hoodies and covering their faces, were reportedly “snooping at a house” at Southwest Third Street and Southwest William Avenue shortly before 4:05 a.m. on July 26. No arrests were made.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 157 inmates, including 138 in the general population and 19 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 112 were reported male and 26 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 16 were reported male and three were reported female.
