Sirens: Blood in the Bathroom; Counterfeit Bills; Assault; Business Burglarized

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Traffic Hazard 

• Officers received a report of a car stalled in the roadway at the intersection of Reynolds Avenue and North Pearl Street just before 8:15 a.m. on April 17. The car was moved before officers arrived. 

 

Vehicle Accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 900 block of North Tower Avenue just after 8:40 a.m. on April 17. 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1300 block of Oxford Avenue just after 8:45 p.m. on April 17. 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and northbound Interstate 5 just after 10:50 p.m. on April 17. 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just after 11:20 a.m. on April 18. 

 

Disputes 

• A family dispute was reported in the 600 block of Roanoke Street just after 12:10 p.m. on April 17. 

• A dispute was reported at the intersection of Mellen and Yew streets just after 10:50 a.m. on April 18. 

 

Suspicious Circumstances 

• A “suspicious male” was reportedly “lurking” around the reporting party’s residence in the 500 block of South King Street just after 1:35 p.m. on April 17. The subject left the scene before officers arrived. 

 

Criminal Trespass 

• A “suspicious person” was reportedly trespassing on railroad property in the 1200 block of Delaware Avenue just before 4:30 p.m. on April 17. The subject left the scene before officers arrived. 

• A Centralia man was arrested in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just after 4:55 p.m. on April 17 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for trespassing. 

• Just after 5:35 p.m. on April 17, a caller asked officers to trespass a homeless man from a building in the 100 block of South Silver Street. 

• A Centralia man was cited for trespassing in the 100 block of North Gold Street just after 7:55 p.m. on April 17. 

• A vehicle was reportedly abandoned on private property at the intersection of Johnson Road and Industrial Drive at 10:55 a.m. on April 18. 

 

Burglary 

• A burglary to a business in the 200 block of South Tower Avenue that was reported at approximately 2:55 a.m. on April 18 is under investigation. 

 

Theft 

• A black Honda CRV with the Washington license plate CEU3896 was reported stolen from the 400 block of South Iron Street just before 11:45 a.m. on April 18. 

• A bicycle was reported stolen from the 400 block of West Main Street at 1 p.m. on April 18. 

• A gold 2004 GMC Sierra pickup with the Washington license plate C20521E was reported stolen from the 900 block of South Pearl Street just after 3:30 p.m. on April 18. 

 

Malicious Mischief 



• Damage to flowers in the 200 block of North Diamond Street was reported at 9:15 a.m. on April 18. 

 

Physical Control 

• Fredy O. Hernandez Villanueva, 27, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1100 block of Belmont Avenue just before 3:45 a.m. on April 19 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly being in physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. 

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Harassment 

• A caller in the 300 block of West Main Street reported “concerning emails and voicemails” just before 8:30 a.m. on April 17. 

 

Criminal Trespass 

• A homeless man who was reportedly “yelling at customers and throwing cigarettes at them” in front of a store in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue was trespassed from the store just after 2:05 p.m. on April 17. 

 

Hit-and-Run 

• A hit-and-run reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 2:35 p.m. on April 17 is under investigation. 

 

Theft 

• A case of third-degree theft reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue at 3:30 p.m. on April 17 is under investigation. 

• At 12:30 p.m. on April 18, a caller reported possible mail theft in the 300 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue. The caller reportedly saw surveillance video of a male subject going onto their porch and getting into their mailbox.

• A subject was cited for shoplifting in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 6:50 p.m. on April 18. 

 

Assault 

• A subject was cited for fourth-degree assault following a physical dispute in the 200 block of Southeast Washington Avenue reported just after 7:50 a.m. on April 18. 

 

Counterfeit Bills 

• A subject reportedly tried to use counterfeit $100 bills in at least two businesses in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue between 9:55 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. on April 18. 

 

Blood in the Bathroom

• Just after 5:55 p.m. on April 18, a caller in the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street reported there was “blood all over” one of the male bathrooms close to the playground. The caller reported the blood was “all over (the) walls, urinals, floor, sink, door handles — it’s everywhere and ‘it’s a healthy trail,’” according to the Chehalis Police Department. According to the caller, the blood was “starting to coagulate,” indicating it was not fresh but had happened recently. 

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 178 inmates, including 163 in the general population and 15 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 123 were reported male and 40 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 12 were reported male and three were reported female.
