CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Jennifer L. Barber, 49, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for allegedly inhaling toxic fumes in the 500 block of West Main Street at about 4:45 p.m. Feb. 6. Officers said they found Barber passed out in a local restaurant after she allegedly huffed from a dust-off can.
• Melinda D. Sheldon, 47, Yakima, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly loitering for drug-related activity in the 100 block of South Pearl Street at about 5:26 p.m. Feb. 6. Officers said they discovered drug paraphernalia after contacting Sheldon in a park.
• Rashelle K. Larson, 32, Pe Ell, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue at about 12:05 a.m. Feb. 7. Officers allegedly located Larson passed out in her vehicle with drug paraphernalia on her lap.
• Alicia M. Schroeder, 52, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault domestic violence after an alleged conflict with a family member in the 2900 block of Mount Vista Road at about 3:51 a.m. Feb. 7.
• Kevan J. Waterman, 48, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault domestic violence after he allegedly assaulted someone at his residence in the 2700 block of Borst Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. Feb. 7.
• Troy D. Walters, 40, Morton, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for driving under the influence and interfering with a healthcare facility in the 1700 block of South Gold Street at about 7:53 p.m. Feb. 7. Police had initially investigated a hit-and-run in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue at about 5:31 p.m. Feb. 7 after Walters had allegedly crashed his vehicle and tried to flee the area before being located by officers and identified by witnesses. Walters allegedly refused to cooperate with the investigation and had to be taken to the hospital for a blood draw to determine his blood alcohol content.
• Jeremia M. Evans Jr., 24, Centralia, was arrested in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue at about 12:56 a.m. Feb. 8 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault domestic violence after he allegedly assaulted a female at a bar.
• Martin A. Villaba Ortiz, 39, Centralia, was arrested in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at about 12:36 p.m. Feb. 8 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree burglary after he allegedly stole from a business from which he had previously been trespassed.
• Angela Harris, 42, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged harassment with threats to kill in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road at about 2:29 p.m. Feb. 8.
Accidents
• Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 1200 block of North Pearl Street at about 12:02 p.m. Feb. 6.
• Officers responded to a three-vehicle collision in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at about 12:24 p.m. Feb. 6.
• Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 1000 block of J Street at about 1:55 p.m. Feb. 6.
Assault
• An assault at a bar was reported in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue at about 12:19 a.m. Feb. 8. The victim was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Driving without ignition interlock device
• Adrian R. Rojas, 23, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device in the 500 block of West First Street at about 4:26 a.m. Feb. 7. According to police, Rojas allegedly attempted to convince the officer he was not driving by switching seats with his passenger after he had already been seen driving.
Obstructing a law enforcement officer
• Johnathan Pennypacker, 35, Rochester, was referred to the Centralia Municipal Court for allegedly obstructing a law enforcement officer in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue at about 9:50 p.m. Feb. 8.
Possession of a controlled substance
• Laura Campbell, 41, Centralia, was referred to the Centralia Municipal Court for alleged possession of a controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue at about 9:50 p.m. Feb. 8.
Theft
• A male known to police reportedly stole merchandise from a store in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at about 9:43 a.m. Feb. 7. The case is under investigation.
• Alcohol was reported stolen in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at about 9:59 a.m. Feb. 7.
• Bucuria M. Margel, 29, University Place, was referred for the charge of second-degree theft at about 1:04 p.m. Feb. 8 for allegedly stealing over $2,700 worth of merchandise from a store in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue. Police received the report the day after the theft occurred. Officers then identified the suspect, who is reportedly part of the “Roma” organized crime group.
• Shoplifting from a local business was reported in the 1300 block of Lum Road at about 5:41 p.m. Feb. 8. The case is under investigation.
Unlawful display of weapon
• Police investigated a dispute between two males, which began with a road rage incident, in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue at about 3:20 p.m. Feb. 7. One of the males reportedly threw a 5-Hour Energy drink at the other male, hitting him in the face and causing a laceration. In response, the other male allegedly drew a firearm and pointed it at the first male. Police seized a firearm as evidence. The case is under investigation.
Vehicle prowl
• Officers investigated a vehicle prowl involving the theft of a laptop and a bag of makeup in the 700 block of South Pearl Street at about 7:23 a.m. Feb. 8.

JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Feb. 9, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 193 inmates, including 180 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 142 were reported male and 38 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Feb. 9, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of nine inmates. Of those, three were from Centralia and two were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there was one each from the Skokomish Tribe, the Quileute Nation, the Suquamish Tribe and the Tulalip Tribe.
