Disputes
• A verbal dispute was reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Prindle Street just before 9:10 a.m. on March 21.
• A verbal dispute was reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Prindle street just before 1:20 p.m. on March 22.
• A verbal dispute was reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Prindle Street at 7:45 p.m. on March 22.
• A verbal dispute was reported in the 10 block of Southwest 11th Street just after 11:40 a.m. on March 23.
• A man reported that his wife was “trying to kick him out of the house” in the 800 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue just after 5:25 p.m. on March 23.
Criminal trespass
• A homeless man was trespassed from a business’s property in the 1500 block of Northwest State Avenue at approximately 9:25 a.m. on March 21.
• A business in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard asked for a man who “masturbated and ejaculated onto a dress in the changing room” to be trespassed from the business at 5:20 p.m. on March 21.
• A possible trespass was reported at a residence in the 500 block of Northeast Adams Avenue just after 8:30 p.m. on March 22.
• A man who was reportedly harassing people in the parking lot of a business in the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place was trespassed from a business at approximately 2:20 a.m. on March 23.
• A criminal trespass was reported in the 500 block of Northwest Front Street just before 11:50 p.m. on March 23.
• A criminal trespass was reported in the 200 block of Northwest Cascade Avenue just before 12:35 a.m. on March 24.
Suspicious circumstances
• A citizen called to request a welfare check on a horse in the 10 block of Northeast Median Street at approximately 10 a.m. on March 21, saying a horse trailer that comes to the area every morning “really smells bad, like pee.” The citizen reported that they have not seen the horse associated with the trailer.
• A woman with a 1-year-old child was reportedly standing in the middle of the roadway at the intersection of Southwest Fourth Street and Southwest McFadden Avenue just after 1:25 a.m. on March 22.
• A citizen called to report someone was making a warming fire in the 600 block of West Main Street at 1:55 a.m. on March 22. The reporting party was “quite upset about it,” according to the Chehalis Police Department.
• A citizen in the 1900 block of South Market Boulevard reported receiving threatening texts and social media messages from an unknown subject at approximately 10:55 p.m. on March 22.
Reckless endangerment
• A guest at a hotel in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue reportedly shot a wall just before 3:45 p.m. on March 21. The subject advised that the gun had misfired. No injuries were reported.
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 6:15 p.m. on March 21 is under investigation.
Vehicle accident
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of North Market Boulevard and Northwest Front Street just before 1:20 p.m. on March 22.
Juvenile problems
• A group of seven children around the age of 10 were reportedly “cussing” and acting disorderly in a parking lot in the 600 block of Southeast Dobson Court just before 7:10 p.m. on March 21.
• A 14-year-old boy reportedly slapped someone in the 700 block of Northwest West Street just before 5:30 p.m. on March 23.
Disorderly conduct
• A disorderly man was reportedly trying to sell ammo in exchange for a ride in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate avenue at approximately 7:55 a.m. on March 22. The man advised a responding officer that he was “out all night drinking” and had tried to get a room at a nearby hotel, but it was full. The officer “gave him a ride back home to sleep it off.”
• A disorderly man was reportedly “behaving strangely” and “throwing knives in the air, possibly doing tricks” in front of the Chehalis Timberland Library in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard at approximately 1 p.m. on March 22. Another man was reportedly “spinning a big stick” nearby.
Conversation with child
• A child in the 10 block of Northeast Washington Avenue reportedly texted “I miss my old dogs” to 911 at 4:40 p.m. on March 23. An officer spoke on the phone with the child, who “was upset as his dogs were at another house and that he misses them.” The officer said they “talked with (the child) about dogs and what our favorite chocolates were (Twix and Reese’s),” and the child “said everything else was okay,” according to the Chehalis Police Department. The child’s mother also spoke to the officer and confirmed everything was okay.
CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Criminal trespass
• A 36-year-old Centralia man was arrested for second-degree criminal trespass in the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue just after 8:30 a.m. on March 22.
• A Chehalis resident was trespassed from a business in the 1300 block of Lakeshore Drive for disorderly conduct just before 10:55 a.m. on March 23.
Drug violation
• A 35-year-old Olympia woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant, driving with a suspended license and possession of fentanyl in the 1600 block of Harrison Avenue just after 1:55 p.m. on March 23.
Theft
• A 37-year-old Centralia man was arrested for third-degree theft and possession of a controlled substance in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue just before 1:15 p.m. on March 22.
• A wallet was reported stolen from the 700 block of North Tower Avenue just after 2:45 p.m. on March 23.
• A 31-year-old Auburn resident was cited for third-degree theft just before 2:55 p.m. on March 23 after they ordered food at a restaurant in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue and failed to pay the bill.
• A 44-year-old Centralia woman was arrested for shoplifting from a business in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just after 6:55 p.m. on March 23.
Warrant arrest
• A 44-year-old Oakville man was arrested on a Department of Corrections felony warrant at the intersection of West Main Street and North Washington Avenue just after 7:10 p.m. on March 23.
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Friday morning and Monday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 61 illness-related calls, 20 injury-related calls, 14 fire-related calls, six non-emergency service calls, two vehicle accidents, one Lifeline medical alert, one overdose, one suicide-related call, one 911-hangup call, one pregnancy-related call and one other call.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 144 inmates, including 134 in the general population and 10 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 107 were reported male and 27 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, eight were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Monday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 20 inmates, including 10 booked by the Centralia Police Department, two booked by the state Department of Corrections, two booked by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, two booked by the La Push Quileute Nation, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Law Enforcement, one booked by the Lummi Nation, one booked by the Skokomish Tribe and one booked by the Tulalip Tribe.
